Why the Spirit exists

Built for the long haul

Plenty of V8 trikes are built for the drag strip and the show lot, with solid rear axles, stiff rides and nowhere to put a jacket. The Spirit was designed from the ground up to do something different, and to cross the country in comfort with a V8 rumbling under you the whole way.

So it rides on independent rear suspension like a car, adjusts its own ride height and firmness with onboard air, carries its fuel low under the seat, and swallows about ten cubic feet of gear in the trunk.

Unlike other V8 trikes, the Challenger is built with long distance riding in mind.Motorcycle and Powersports News, on the Spirit's debut

Owners ride them to Alaska

A Spirit is not a garage queen. Owners have ridden theirs all the way up the Alaska Highway. One 2020 Spirit in our used inventory shows 22,350 miles on the clock and is still listed in like new condition.

Eddie Trotta Designs, made here

Spirit questions

Do not see yours? Call or text the shop at 573 712 2385.

How much does a Spirit cost?
Every Spirit is built to order, so the price depends on the power tune, paint and options you choose. Current pricing for each configuration is in the free Buyer's Guide.
Is a 1,750 lb trike hard to handle?
Less than you would expect. The 39 degree rake on the inverted front end keeps steering light, the fuel tank sits under the seat to keep the center of gravity low, and the automatic transmission means no clutch work in traffic or parking lots.
Who can service the engine and transmission?
The Spirit uses a GM LS3 V8 and a GM 4L60E automatic, two of the most common performance components in America. Parts are easy to find, and the shop that built your Spirit is a phone call away.
How far can I ride on a tank?
The Spirit carries 13 gallons. At the estimated 20 to 25 miles per gallon, that is roughly 260 to 325 miles between stops, depending on tune, load and how you ride.
Can I choose my own paint?
Yes. Any color in the book, with or without a fairing, plus graphics, pinstriping, powder coat and Eddie Trotta accessories. The paint booth above shows real builds that left our shop.
Do I need a motorcycle license to ride a trike?
It depends on your state. Many states require a motorcycle endorsement, and some offer a three wheel only endorsement. Check with your state's licensing office before you ride.
Can I see a Spirit in person?
Yes. Come to the shop in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, or call Mason to set up a time. Hearing an LS3 fire up in person is the best way to decide.
